Mixtape DJ Roundup - March 2011

Author: D.Bail

Featured Review
DJ Superstar Jay is one of the most consistent DJ's in the game and his March mixtape "I Am Mixtapes Pt. 79: March Madness " is filled with exclusive heat. Prodigy of Mobb Deep is home after a 3 year stretch and the MOBB's first joint in years "Love Yall More" produced by The Alchemist is definitely the sound we've been missing from New York and it's dedicated to the fans which is always a good look. Hip-Hop Legends Dr. Dre & Nas reppin' the West & East both have some unreleased gems as well featured on "March Madness", as heads eagerly wait on full length releases from both artists.

Superstar Jay has always shown diversity with his tracklisting and he takes it from coast to coast giving you flavor from all regions with features from Rick Ross, Waka Flocka, Plies, Drake and Lil Wayne. The Game's tribute to Nate Dogg is also here. It's a heartfelt joint acknowledging the "Master of Melody" Nate Dogg, who's contributions and presence in Hip Hop was a great loss and will always be missed. Three east coast mixtape vets Red Cafe, Lloyd Banks and Fabolous team up on the banger 'Realist", and the Pusha T and 50 Cent collab "Raid" produced by Pharell is sure to make noise in the streets. Salute Superstar J for this one!
